Sales Management Analysis

This data analyst project aimed to fulfill a business request for an executive sales report, catering to the needs of sales managers and representatives. The project's primary focus was on delivering valuable insights through a Power BI dashboard that updates data daily.

Business Request and User Stories

This data analyst project originated from a business request for an executive sales report tailored to the needs of sales managers. To meet this request effectively, we formulated a set of user stories that guided the project's execution and ensured the satisfaction of acceptance criteria throughout its development.

Data Cleaning and Transformation

To prepare the data model and cater to the business requirements outlined in the user stories, the following tables were extracted using SQL. Additionally, a data source containing sales budgets in Excel format was integrated into the data model during a subsequent phase of the process.

Below, you'll find a visual representation of the data model that reflects the cleaned and prepared tables imported into Power BI. This model illustrates the connection between FACT_Budget and FACT_InternetSales, along with other essential DIM tables. Additionally, this representation incorporates DAX formulas, which have been used to derive custom calculations and insights from the data.

Sales Management Dashboard

The completed sales management dashboard comprises a main page serving as an interactive dashboard and overview. Additionally, it includes two separate pages dedicated to merging tables to provide essential details and visualizations, showcasing sales trends over time, per customers, and per products.
